So here's a checklist to help you get through the things that you may have not known or miss on checking on a prospect house.

1. Check the neighbouring establishments and match it to your lifestyle.

You may observe or ask the landlady or caretaker if there are easy access to food on hours where you will most likely be home. It may be a search for an early breakfast or a late night dinner. Know where the grub is. Also, you might want to check on the nearest supermarket and convenience store as well as the nearest hospital or medical care and police stations and government offices in case your need arises.

2. Check the house rules

Some of the landlords are blunt on their house rules or at the very least about which they can recall. Ask for the ones that fit your lifestyle. Do you relatives visit you every now and then? Do you enjoy friends coming over for celebrations and will the house be able to accommodate it? 4. Check the electric capacity

Although it is best to have an engineer for this, when you're going around the city looking for that perfect second home, you need to know the basics for electric capacity considering the devices and appliances that you will bring with you. Numerous sockets doesn't imply higher electrical capacity. If you have friends in the engineering field, strike a quick chat about all your devices and how many AMPs is needed to make sure that your house can operate fully even on parties or movie dates.

5. Check the terms and conditions of payment

This is the trickiest aspect when looking for the right home. We had a landlord once whom we had our rent payment delayed for 2days and he cut the electrical supply for one whole day starting at early in the morning while we were asleep. Despite all the talk prior to that instance, he seemed to have forgotten that we have advised him about the delay. So don't go through the trouble of worrying about your appliances when you can figure out how it's all going to be just by asking them their considerations for late payments.

6. Check the dimensions of doors, stairs, hallways, and the pathways around

You might want to be precise when plotting if your things can actually fit to get inside the house one you are moving in. One of the common mistakes is forgetting to check if the cabinets or the furnitures fit once you start moving or how will your things get in.
